The dating site by Helen Croydon, journalist, broadcaster and author of Screw The Fairytale

Screw the fairytale

intro is for people who seek meaningful romance but for whatever reason don't have time, or the circumstances aren’t right, to invest in a full-time, 24-7 relationship. We are not a no-strings website. We are for singles looking for regular partners with mutual attraction, genuine friendship, respect and a magical spark but whom have no expectations of moving in after three months and value their free time and independence.

Perhaps you are just out of a long-term relationship and want to take things slow? Maybe you are a single parent, you travel three days every week or perhaps you are focussed on a new career goal and don't have time for a conventional all-consuming relationship. That shouldn't mean you have to settle for meaningless flings. Members of are all like-minded single people who value their existing lifestyle but still want to spend quality time with someone they care about.

More About Part Time Love

The concept for this site came from British author and journalist Helen Croydon, who wrote about the benefits of what she calls the 'low maintenance relationship' in her latest book Screw the Fairytale.

Through research and interviews, Helen found thousands of single people who expressed a desire to fall in love, but daunted by the demands of modern relationships (do you really have to share a bed and go on every single holiday together?). Helen wanted to provide a site where singles can find loving but non-demanding partners to share special times with, without sacrificing their sense of selves.

Helen Croydon is best known for her immersive journalism and strong opinion pieces on modern relationships. She has written for all the UK national newspapers including The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Guardian and regularly appears as a commentator on anything relationship related for TV and radio including ITV This Morning, Sky News, Lorraine, Newsnight and more. has generated a media buzz.
